Pre-Delivery Inspection
An independent inspection before delivery gives the shipyard the opportunity to correct any defects while the yacht is still in their facility.
Before You Accept Delivery
When a new yacht is nearing completion, it's well worth arranging an independent pre-delivery inspection. Any defects identified can be corrected while the vessel is still in the yard, avoiding the need to return the yacht or have yard staff travel to you afterwards. Everything is resolved in one place, at the right time.
As a new build nears its completion date, pressure on the yard to deliver on time increases. In that environment, even the most diligent teams can overlook things. Not through carelessness, but simply because there is a lot happening at once. Having an independent surveyor go through the vessel calmly and methodically, system by system, gives the owner the best possible chance of a delivery that meets their expectations.
Independent Assessment
Joe works exclusively for you, not the shipyard or the broker. His assessment is independent and based on professional surveying standards.
Worth Knowing
- Defects found before delivery can be efficiently and quickly resolved within the shipyard before handover to the owner.

The Process
The Pre-Delivery Inspection Process
A structured approach to ensure your new yacht meets specifications and quality standards before you take delivery.
Pre-Delivery Inspection
Comprehensive inspection of the yacht while still at the shipyard, before you accept delivery. Joe examines all systems, construction quality, and contract specifications as requested.
Detailed Report
You receive a full report documenting all findings. Defects, quality issues, and specification deviations with photographs.
Findings Addressed
The shipyard corrects identified issues while the yacht is still in their facility. This is far simpler and less costly than resolving the same issues after delivery.
Re-Inspection
Joe can return to verify that all corrections have been properly completed before you take final delivery.
